Tom Zylbersztein is an up-and-coming Israeli composer currently based in New York. A pianist since childhood, Tom has been a gigging keyboard player until he discovered he can compose at the age of 24. Tom went to study Multi-disciplinary composition at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, where he started directly in the sophomore year. By senior year, Tom was teaching an academic course to freshman students, was commissioned to compose 2 pieces and received the dean's prize. Upon graduating,

 

Tom realized his passion for composing for film and Television, and so In 2022, Tom moved to New York City to study for his master’s in screen scoring at NYU with the generous support of a Fulbright Scholarship. At NYU, Tom honed his film scoring craftsmanship, connected with up-and-coming student filmmakers, taught a film scoring course for undergraduates, participated in the Society of Composers and Lyricists mentorship program, ASCAP Screen Scoring Workshop and received the Alan Menken Scholarship. 

 

Tom scored 2 independent feature films ('The Last Robbery' and 'Operation Wakaliga, Fate and Blood'), an animated web series for Israel’s Broadcasting Corporation ('The Fenestas'), scored the SE-Emmy nominated kids series ‘The Cool and the Strong’, worked as the music editor and additional composer on a hasidic horror series ('Malevolent Bride'), assisted music editor Suzana Peric on the second season of 'Pachinko' (Apple TV), 'Patrice' (Hulu) and 'The Librarians' (Sundance FF). Tom has worked as an additional music editor for Chris Hajian on 'Tin Soldier' (Robert De Niro, Jamie Foxx, Scott Eastwood).  Additionally Tom frequently writes arrangements for the Be'er Sheva Sinfonietta and

composes tracks for Artlist that were broadcast thousands of times on TV commercials.

Since late 2023, Tom has been collaborating with Konsonant Music, working on projects such as ‘Any Problem is no Problem’, ‘Love Apptually’, ‘Grossinger’s’ and is looking forward to keep growing together and collaborating on great music!
